Photo 1: point one corner of the cube at the camera so you see three faces, one on top and two below it.
Photo 2: turn the cube upside down, then give it a half turn so the corner that was at the back now faces the camera. None of the three center colors from photo 1 should be visible. Any way up is fine.
In each photo, tap the 7 corner points in the order shown: the middle corner first, then the outline starting at the top and going clockwise.

The app picks the colors that make a real cube, so lighting mistakes are usually fixed for you. If a dot is still wrong, pick the right color below, then tap that sticker in the photo or in the map.
Add both photos and tap the 7 points on each.
Solution
Look straight at the face with that center color. Clockwise means as you see it (turn to the right). Counter-clockwise turns left. 180 is two quarter turns, either way. You can turn the whole cube in your hands between steps; the centers never move.
